Our day started with coffee and the weather on TV. The said ‘a chance of showers’ - well we had about four hours and four miles of cold showers, and of course wind. We drove from the hotel down to an area called ‘The Forks’, where the Assiniboine and the Red Rivers come together.

Another good night sleep, this time at the Hawberry Motel in Little Current, and some breakfast and a bit of blogging and video editing we hit the road to explore Manitoulin Island. Today however I am writing about both day 5 and day 6 as I know this will be the last time for wifi for a few days as we are heading to the woods again tomorrow.

After great nights sleep, and hot shower. And the breakfast special in a hotel in Waterloo we hit the road again. We made it almost a mile down the road when a Walmart appeared and knowing there were s few empty corners in the car we were compelled to stop and buy just a few more things. Leaving Waterloo we stopped for ice and gas..$1.05 Canadian per liter . . what ever the hell that means.

The air mattress was firmer, we were warmer and and we both slept well for a change, and the fact that there were no raccoons visiting during the night helped as well.
