This sketch of Block Islands Southeast light is mostly just made up. The light itself is fairly accurate but the location is pure fantasy. This is a preliminary sketch for a much bigger work, a commission for a patron in Texas. The original thinking for this composition originated last November (2025) for a pen and Ink Drawing that I did for an annual Fakes and Forgeries Show in Newport. (See my blog post about this drawing) The commission came from that drawing and this sketch was my thinking for the color palette I wanted to use. This little sketch actually turned out well enough that I thought I would offer it up for sale. Image is 4X9½ inches and matted - ready for framing
