Larry, Curley & Moe

June 13, 2018

Mmmmmm... cookies

We arrived at my brother Dan's around one thirty in the afternoon. I don't get to see my brothers nearly as ofter as I would like so it is always a treat. Dan's hospitality was wonderful. One thing that was a big surprise is the new friends Dan was hanging around with. Bunnies. Yep, my older brother has become the 'Bunny Whisperer' of Lincoln, Illinois. They seem to follow him around and he talks to them and feeds them 'cookies' - saltines. He can hardly walk out of the house and the bunnies will come running, stop right in front of him and sit up on their hind legs and beg for a cookie. I have never seen anything like it.

Later that afternoon we went out for a great meal and even better conversation and Dan gave us a tour of the area. Good conversation and brotherly love continued well into the night, discussing everything from bunnies to the Rolling Stones to warped time and space.

Dan, Ed & Dave...  Larry, Curley and Moe?

The following morning we headed off to Kansas, Illinois to visit with my younger brother Dave and his wonderful wife Tammie. It was too good to be all together in one spot. Needless to say this was a very special time and we all tried to talk over each other like always. We visited a vineyard had great steaks on the grill rode scooters, compared campers and talked about our youth remembering things like old phone numbers and the times we got in trouble, mad dogs and the old neighborhood. It was a great visit and I look forward to the next time.
